NEWS: A Night of Music & Conversation with Kevin Borich and Tyrone Noonan

October 4, 2018

ROCK legend, Kevin Borich and former George front man, Tyrone Noonan will wow Solbar crowds with their songs and the stories behind them at the A Night Of Music And Conversation event in November.

Interviewed by journalist and radio talk show host, Matt Collins, this unique musical event will bring together the true-life journeys of Tyrone Noonan and the man who guitar god, Carlos Santana rates as “one of the best he has ever heard,” Kevin Borich.

With a professional career spanning 50 years, Kevin Borich has certainly stood the test of time.

Beginning with the La-De-Da’s in New Zealand, writing the classic hit Gonna See My Baby Tonight, to his Kevin Borich Express and The Party Boys, Kevin has performed at some of the biggest Rock events Australia has seen.

The Australian Blues Foundation Hall of Fame recipient has jammed with some of the greatest artists of all-time including Ron Wood from the Rolling Stones and Carlos Santana who had some impressive words to describe the Aussie rock legend.

“He’s amazing. He sounds so much like Jimi Hendrix yet has an individual style,” Carlos Santana said. “He presents his music honestly and is one of the best guitarists I’ve heard.”

With sister Katie Noonan, Tyrone Noonan enjoyed massive success with their band George where Tyrone sung vocals, played guitar and keyboards and shared song-writing duties with Katie.

After George, Tyrone has been making his mark on the Australian music scene once again after being based overseas for several years.

He has been steadily re-engaging with his Aussie fans, including supporting Tina Arena at her exclusive 2016 Qld concert, as well as a series of George national 20 year reunion shows including a sold out QPAC Concert Hall and Queenscliff Music Festival with Missy Higgins & WASO.

Host for the evening, Matt Collins is a journalist, radio talk show and podcast host. His popular podcast Coffee Chats with Matt Collins has a weekly audience spanning over 50 countries.
